The bakery just across the road is so exceptionally good that it deserves its own webpage. Here you will find the locals lining up every morning looking for freshly baked pastries to ensure the perfect start to the day. Everything is baked naturally on the spot and you see the bakers in full action in the open room next to the customer room. If you are looking for an item not available in the shelves, then the staff runs in and gets it warm straight from the ovens.
The bakery is very popular and there is always a little queue but they have a very efficient payment system and it is rarely more than 2 – 3 minutes waiting.
There is a lot to choose from, and the simplest is often just looking at the shelves and pointing to the items of your desire. Our favorites for breakfast and lunch are shown in the table below, but on each visit we try new things, so our list of favorites becomes longer and longer after each visit. Of course, they also have many other temptations (cakes, macrons etc …)
| NAME | DESCRIPTION |
| Campagnette | This is a special type of baguette that is somewhat bigger and thicker than the baguettes. This is one of the bestsellers for the bakery and they are absolutely fantastic! |
| Resto Campagnette | This is the giant version of the French baguette and it will feed a whole family of 4. These are very often hot and they smell amazing. This is probably our favorite for lunch! |
| Ficelle au chorizo | A baguette with chorizo baked into the pastry. Amazingly good – you do not need anything on top, just butter. Yum! |
| Ficelle au olive | A baguette with olives baked into the pastry. This is the favorite for our children. They just can not get enough of olives… |
| Ficelle au bacon | A baguette with bacon baked into the pastry. Of all the baguettes with ingredients, this is Dad’s favorite. Along with the special “Sel de Mer” butter, which contains whole sea-salt grains, makes it an unbeatable taste experience! |
| Ficelle au roquefort | A baguette with roquefort cheese baked into the pastry. If you are a fan of roquefort, than this is a “must have” for you! |
| Ficelle au miel et chevre | A baguette with honey and chevre, which is the mild french goat cheese. An amazing combination that may sound a bit strange, but must be tested. |
| Dark big breads | The bakery has some large square breads. We have never learned the name of these, we just point out what we want. But they are amazingly good and often hot and smoking fresh from the oven |
