Domaine de la Bouverie

Located within walking distance you will find this award winning vinyard offering wine tasting and a vinyard shop! It has a great visitors shop where you not only can taste and buy the award winning wines at a very reasonable rate (8 EUR), but you can also buy many other locally produced products speciality like olive pastes, jam, honey etc..

Fun fact: The estate was originally a cattle farm (Bouverie), where the cattle was served as an appertizer to the lions at the circus games held in the Frejus Area! Suggestion for walk to the vinyard

The best way to walk from the house is on the route through the vinyard fields. In the middle of the walk through the fields you will find a local beekeeper who produces many different types of honey. One of the specialties is Lavender honey, where the bees live and only feeds on the lavender fields. This honey is almost white and it tastes exceptionally good. See this page for opening hours for the small beekepers shop which you will pass as part of this walking trip. The whole walk to the vinyard takes less than 30 minutes.

The Wine

The most popular versions of their red, rose and white wines can be purshased at the vinyard shop for approx 8 Euro. You will most likely also find them in the local supermarket in La Bouverie, and also at the L’Actu Bar & Cafe (the owner of the vinyard is a regular guest).
