Frejus is located approximate. 20 minutes from the house in La Bouverie by car.

Fréjus and Saint-Raphaël, two ancient Roman coastal towns of origin, actually lie to each other and are therefore almost always mentioned in the same breath.

Frejus

But the two cities are actually quite different. Frejus has an old middle-age city centre located away from the waterfront. It has an interesting historic center, culminating in the Arenes de Fréjus. This amphitheater with arena, where Roman gladiators once fought, is now mainly an interesting tourist attraction. In summer concerts are organized here. The aqueduct, the city walls and gates Porte des Gaules and Porte de Rome are worth a visit. In the city centre you have culture, and the typical old pedestrian streets Provence is famous for. The heart of city of Frejus is located here.

St.Raphael

St. Raphael is a popular holiday destination for families with children because of its beautiful sandy beaches, lively promenade and festivities in the summer. Here you will find the typical glamour of the French Riviera with the big boats, Yatchs, chic cafes and seaside promenade with long sandy beaches.

The Archologial Museum is well worth a visit. here you can walk to the top and get an excellent view over the area including deep blue Medeterranian sea. It is located here.

Frejus-Saint-Raphaël is also a very good base for day trips, bike rides and walks.

Saint-Raphaël has a cozy, newly renovated harbor with a promenade lined with plane trees.

Renowned restaurants, for example, L’Amandier in Fréjus and La Table in Saint-Raphaël. In Agay there are some nice restaurants at the beach. On the west side of the beach is Maobi ,a quiet restaurant with loungers, beautiful beach, good food and still in center of Agay. In the street opposite you can eat at the cozy Coté le jardin. Opposite Maobi is a very good baker and also caterer.
