Within a short 4 minute drive from the house you have a beautiful Canyon – Gorges de Blavet and the Grotte de Mueron. Here you will find a number of small footpaths and beautiful nature highlighed by the the red cliffs that the area is famous for. For a walk to the Gorges de Blavet, and to the Grotte de Mueron, you do not need a car. Just walk directly from the main roundabout in La Bouverie following the map instructions (The Grotto is located near item C on the map, the starting point is at H):
A shorter walk is to drive to “Point de vue Var” (4 minute drive) and park your car at the parking lot. Then it is only a 5 minute walk from the parking before you are in the middle of the Gorge. I would recommend to follow the trail along the edge of the cliffs and continue down into the middle of the Gorge where you also will find the magnificent Grotto. It is one of our favourite walks and it takes you all the way into the beautiful Gorges. Walking into the Grotte de Mourins, you will often encounter climbers practicing in the entrance of the Grotto.

We also recommend the short drive from La Bouverie up to Bagnols-en-Foret. Another beautiful short 30 minute walk very close to Bagnols-En-Foret city centre is the Cascade de Gourbachin which talkes you to a beautiful small waterfall. There are some nice places to stop and enjoy the magnificent views on the way.
